One-On-One Peer Support for Individuals Living with Mental Health Conditions and Family Members
We are proud to be offering more support to our community members impacted by mental health conditions, with one-on-one peer support.
Peer support workers are people (both those with lived experience and their family members) who have been successful in the recovery process who help others experiencing similar situations. Through shared understanding, respect, and mutual empowerment, peer support workers help people become and stay engaged in the recovery process and reduce the likelihood of relapse. Peer support services can effectively extend the reach of treatment beyond the clinical setting into the everyday environment of those seeking a successful, sustained recovery process.
Available for community members living with mental health conditions and/or their loved ones: We have peer support specialists and family support specialists to lend an ear. We can help you find resources, navigate a crisis, or simply talk through something that’s troubling you. These are not counseling or therapy sessions. The relationship between the peer worker and peer is respectful, trusting, empathetic, collaborative, and mutual. Sessions are available on Zoom or via phone call at your convenience.
