NAMI WLA Communications Coordinator, Marian Alino, is a UCLA graduate with a degree in psychobiology. Marian’s commitment to mental health is intertwined with her interest in communications because she believes effective messaging through social media, newsletters, and marketing materials are key to breaking down barriers to mental health care. She believes that NAMI WLA’s community connections facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences of peers and family members, offering a sense of hope and inspiration.
