Jared Bendifallah is a Peer Support Group Facilitator, Peer Support Specialist, Peer to Peer Class Teacher, Ending the Silence Youth and Lead Presenter, and speaker for NAMI WLA. As a Peer Support Group Facilitator, he leads the Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday peer support groups for NAMI WLA and has facilitated over 400 groups since October 2020. As a Peer Support Specialist, he works one on one with people in recovery, practicing active listening, helping to develop coping skills, and helping to find resources.

Jared believes that one of the hardest parts of recovery is feeling alone and having no one to talk to about one’s struggles, and his work is centered around the desire to help people feel less alone in recovery. He has developed his “5 Pillars of Recovery to Mental Wellness” which can help those struggling with a mental health condition and their families by providing hope and a roadmap for recovery. He can also provide specific coaching related to the 5 Pillars, which he has developed over the last 7-8 years of his own recovery journey.

Jared also has a Bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego in Physiology & Neuroscience and a Master’s degree from USC in Urban Planning.
