Help us support legislation that is sponsored by NAMI California : SB 43 (Eggman).
SB 43 modernizes the definition of “gravely disabled” within the Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Act to better meet the needs of individuals experiencing severe mental illness. NAMI California believes Senate Bill 43 is essential to both those experiencing severe mental illness and their families by making it easier to provide mental health treatment for individuals unable to care for themselves.
We urge our advocates to call the Assembly Appropriations Committee and reaffirm the importance of this bill urging that SB 43 come off the suspense file.
