Community Voices: Simple Pleasures, Brilliant Things, Life’s Wonders

We were inspired by "Every Brilliant Thing," the play at the Audrey Skirball Theater at the Geffen Playhouse and the story of a young boy who creates a handwritten list of brilliant things the world has to offer as a way to cheer up his mother living with depression. He shared small things meant to give life meaning and purpose. One of his examples: Ice cream. Executive Director Erin R. Ryan offers hers: “Coffee and morning family snuggles.”
