Allies for Every Child
Early Learning:
We provide high-quality early education for children from birth to 5-years-old, focused on social-emotional development and grounded in a STEM and-literacy-based curriculum designed to prepare children and families for kindergarten. We work in family homes, independently-owned childcare settings, and at our Early Education Center.
Positive Parenting:
Children need strong parents, and parents need robust support systems. We partner with parents to navigate their greatest challenges (including domestic violence, substance abuse, housing insecurity, immigration status, mental health, social isolation, and more) and provide the resources they need to be the parents they want to be. To make our services accessible to all, our team of experts support parents in family homes, in the community, and in weekly support groups.
Social Connections:
Families thrive in engaged communities. We are a community hub, hosting weekly events to educate and enrich, and most importantly, to instill a sense of belonging for families in our vast L.A. community. We believe a truly strong community cares for each of its neighbors, which is why we provide diverse programming to give children and families a safe place to play, learn, explore, and grow.
Specialized Expertise:
Our mental health, disabilities, health, nutrition, and education experts offer training and workshops, and conduct special needs and trauma screenings. We are on call to provide in-person, real-time, multidisciplinary guidance with concerns as soon as they occur, before they become deeper challenges.

Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center (ELARC)
Headquartered in Alhambra, a community of Los Angeles county, The Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center (ELARC) is a private, non-profit organization under contract with the California Department of Developmental Services (DDS). ELARC is one of 21 Regional Centers in the state, coordinating and providing community-based services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center (FDLRC)
Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center is a private, non-profit corporation that operates under contract with California’s Department of Developmental Services. The Center serves over 9,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities, who have or are at risk for a developmental delay or disability, and who are at high-risk of parenting an infant with a disability.

Exceptional Children’s Foundation
The Exceptional Children’s Foundation (ECF) has become a recognized innovator of services for young children, students, and adults with developmental, learning, and emotional disabilities; and ECF serves more than 3,800 young children, students, adults, and their families each year. ECF is the only organization of its kind in California, offering a full continuum of lifespan services for children and adults with developmental disabilities and other special needs.
Young Children:
The Early Start program provides early intervention and educational services for young children who are developmentally delayed or disabled from birth to three years of age and their families. Early childhood education and therapeutic services, including occupational, speech and physical therapies, are offered in both community-integrated center-based settings as well as through home visits, to best meet families’ interests and service access needs.
Kayne Eras School
At the Kayne Eras Center (KEC), ECF operates a nonpublic special education school for students in grades K-12. Here, students’ ages 5-22 find help developing the social, intellectual, and emotional skills they need to learn at their fullest potential. Services include behavioral therapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, educational therapy and a mental health program.

Harbor Regional Center (HRC)
Harbor Regional Center serves nearly 15,000 people with developmental disabilities, and their families, who reside in the South Bay, Harbor, Long Beach, and southeast areas of Los Angeles County. Regional centers serve people of all ages with developmental disabilities and their families, infants with a significant developmental delay, high risk, or established risk for developmental disability, and pregnant women who are at risk for having a child with this type of disability.

North Los Angeles Regional Center (NLARC)
North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) is one of 21 private, non-profit organizations under contract with the California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to coordinate and provide community-based services to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (consumers).

South Central Los Angeles Regional Center for Developmental Disabilities, Inc. (SCLARC)
SCLARC is a private non-profit organization with over 45 years of experience serving individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities and children with developmental delays. Services provided include intake, assessment, diagnosis, case management, early intervention, and life-long service coordination. SCLARC contracts with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to provide Early Start early intervention services for children with developmental delays, or at risk for delays, under the age of 3; and to provide supportive services for individuals diagnosed with a permanent developmental disability, ages 3 and above.

The Help Group West Child and Family Center
Comprehensive mental health services for children and adolescents ages 0- 25 with Medi-Cal, including individual therapy, family therapy, case management, individual rehabilitation, and psychiatric services for children experiencing a variety of symptoms ranging from hyperactivity, anxiety, sadness, and trauma-induced behaviors
Recovery, Resilience and Reintegration (RRR):
Includes a range of field based services to children and families who may be reluctant or unable to access mental health services due to impaired mobility, geographic limitations, or stigma associated with receiving services in a traditional clinic setting; Evidence Based Practices including Trauma FocusedCognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to address symptoms related to trauma, Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) to assist parents in managing their child’s challenging behaviors, Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) which promotes and strengthens the relationship between caregiver and child, Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP) to address anxiety, depression, and disruptive disorders, and Seeking Safety which focuses on co-occurring disorders in TAY aged children, and CAPPS a prevention and early intervention program that focuses on youth and young adults, ages 16-25, who are in danger of experiencing first-break psychosis; In-home and school-based services are available; intensive home-based services such as Wraparound and Full-Service Partnership (0-15 years) available for children/youth experiencing significant emotional, psychological, and behavioral problems. Portland Identification and Early Referral (PIER) Early Psychosis (EP)Program:
Targets adolescents and young adults between thea ges of 12 and 25 with the goal of reducing the incidence of psychosis. The focus is on early detection and intervention to prevent conversion of symptoms into a fully diagnosable psychotic disorder. The PIER EP program is a three-part integrated approach: community outreach, assessment, treatment and follow up. Early recognition of symptoms is vitally important in substantially minimizing the negative impact of severe mental illness by reducing symptoms, improving functioning and decreasing chances of relapse. PIER’s first step is to educate and empower family and community members to recognize clinical high risk signs in their youth and make appropriate referrals for support

Well Baby Center
Well Baby Center is a non-profit parenting and counseling center that focuses on families with young children. Our goal is to help parents and children foster security within their primary relationships, allowing children to become more resilient and flexible in the face of life’s joys as well as life’s inevitable and unpredictable challenges. We offer low cost, high quality, sliding scale counseling services for individuals, groups, couples, children and families, and provide a variety of family enrichment groups including: Mindful Parenting Groups (ages 0-3), Mothers Support Group, Loving Discipline One-Day Workshops and court approved 10-week series, Swell Baby Music (infant & toddler) and Becoming Social Group. We also offer perinatal maternal services such as counseling and developmental assessments and free Thursday Fundays.
